Chi Gong

Chi Gong, also known as Qigong, is the Chinese practice of rhythmic breathing coordinated with slow repetitive fluid movements.  The goals is to create a calm state of mind, balancing the life energy. The Chinese word means energy, and work and these forms of movement are more than 4,000 years old.

Chi Gong helps the person strengthen their body and internal organs, and some women have found relief from their aches and pains.  As a result of this class, the women feel relaxed, refreshed, and some say they even feel younger and more energetic!

The Chi Gong class is offered at Centro Mujeres de la Esperanza once a week for and the class lasts one and a half to two hours.
